THE GAMES
The games played in Atlantic City are primarily seven card stud, Omaha, and
Texas Hold`em. These games use structured betting schemes where the bet for each
round has been predetermined.
For example - a typical low-limit game game is 3-6, where the first two bets are
a max of 3 dollars and the last two are a max of 6 dollars. There are also limit
games where the maximum bet per round is capped. Then there's the Cadillac of
poker; No Limit Texas Hold'em, where anything goes. These tables are becoming
more and more popular in Atlantic City. Every room in town has a low level no
limit game. Borgata has an active high level no limit games to check out.
Atlantic City Poker Tournaments:
On a daily basis the casinos in Atlantic City offer tournaments like you see on
TV. The buy ins range from $20 all the way to $500.
